著者の専門はいわゆるゲルマン宗教ではなくて、フィン人とサーミのそれである。また専門も文献学ではなく、民俗学と民族学。だから「Nordic religions」か。
一般に北欧神話のファンは多いが、学術レベルでの研究となると、日本ではそう多くない。
